….and how is my house doing? The weather is giving it a good test… i have had an idea as well

the good bit of the house. Infrared fairly even heat loss across the building which is good. can you tell the difference between upstairs and down stairs windows? ...more later!

The timber triple glazing is in after the external insulation. The infrared camera is really highlighting the cold bridges and are standing out. Non insulted or should i say areas with less insulation which transfer cold from in the outside in. I suppose if your stood on the outside then they might be warm bridges? nah… cold is cold. But this is where vapour will condense mould, rot, unhealthy… I will have to be careful with the ventilation and start on the detailing around the reveals. I can feel some spacetherm coming on… but one thing at a time

This is what bad looks like around one of the old windows. Wind was blowing a hooley (look it up think its on the beaufort scale) this is next years work which it to detail the roof and reveals. windows have been changed

The back of the house. No I don’t have a heat main it’s the waste pipe after a shower. Lots and lots of hot water leaving the building after I wasted my money heating it up! We must get this heat back! Much, much more on this from the team in NT Wales… exciting!
