The end of the research phase of the European COMBINE project… success? YES Biomass fuel from green waste. Conservation and biodiversity gain as well

Three years in the making the Combine project has now come to the end of its research phase. We were partners in a European project to look at the viability (economically, environmentally) of producing biomass fuel from what is seen as green waste. Road side cuttings, conservation mater (bracken, gorse, soft rush). The project has more than proved the viability of the fuel and also looked in-depth at the economics and they also work in the right situations. see the video to understand the process.

What next in Wales? Seven Wye Energy Agency and Cwm Harry are each now looking at full-scale and farm scale developments systems based on what they learnt in Combine project process. The future is looking green!
