Thursday evening saw Ed, Mike and myself all dressed up as we attended the 10th Annual British Renewable Energy Association Awards down in the big smoke. The event was held at The Savoy and they were offering moral support as I had been nominated in the category of “British Renewable Energy Champion 2015”.

Having seen the other nominees I wasn’t holding my breath, and decided that I could always get a job as a chauffeur driving one of the several stunning cars outside the main entrance. Let’s just say I was a tad dumbfounded when my name was called out (won’t tell you the first words out of my mouth to Mike as I got up!).

awardThis is an amazing and unexpected honour and a recognition of the huge strides and leading role that the Trust is playing in demonstrating that appropriate integration of renewable technology can and does work in harmony with the natural and historic landscape.

Many thanks to the judges and everyone at the Rea for not only honouring me with this award, but also for a fantastic evening.

Now back to stopping my two year old from giving the dog a heart attack as he chases him around the garden.Jac
