Looking backwards, looking forwards. Next hydro’s please

you can juts about see the lighter shade of green pipe route snaking down beside the river Cwm Llan. Really please with this only after a few months. Don't think you will see anything at all in two years time at this speed of recovery

Snowdon with its head in the clouds. You can just about see the lighter shade of green pipe route snaking down beside the river Cwm Llan. (in the middle of the image) Really pleased with this only after a few months. Don’t think you will see anything at all in two years time at this speed of recovery

Whilst in Nantgwynant yesterday i had a few mins spare and so decided to drive up to Blaen Nantmor to look across the valley to see how the pipe route on the Hafod y Llan hydro was regenerating on the southern side of Snowdon. Really pleased! From the the place i took this image behind me we have also just received the abstraction licence for our next hydro project. Llyn Llagi hydro is another demonstration of the bespoke nature of hydros. This will be a different approach again.  220m of head, quite a long pipe and an ‘interesting’ challenging in terms of terrain. We are working on the design, mitigation, method statement of the planning permission as we speak. 2015 and this should be being built. Guess what? More on this later!!!

if you look carefully you can juts about see the river tumbling down through the woodland. The intake is in the Cwm high above this site

If you look carefully on the extreme left of the image you can just about see the river tumbling down through the woodland. The intake is in the Cwm high above this site
