Hydro media morning in Nantgwynant. A 3 hydro day

Recording the 17kw Hydrolite running flat-out

Been a busy few days. Over the weekend was BBC Radio Cymru talking about the hidden hydros and today it was filming with Iolo ap Dafydd from the BBC on the National Trust hydro work and the afternoon being interviewed for a hydro article for Golwg 360 (Welsh affairs magazine)

We went out with Dafydd to see the two completed and the third in construction. The two completed hydros were running… I like rain! The Third is half way in terms of construction. It was good to see the steel going into to the Hafod y Porth turbine building ready for the former for the tail race (discharge pipe). The intake is being  built as we speak.

It was the first time i have heard the small hydro running or should i say whispering. It was amazingly quiet even with the door to the power house open. Dafydd was here today recording a Welsh and English program and for Radio Wales. (3 for 1)
