This morning and it was the Nantgwynant valley. I was down to meet the team from the 50,000 acre Elan Valley trust who are looking at renewables and wanted to glean some experiences from us. I had time before the meeting to pop over to Craflwyn near Beddgelert to have a look-see of the new Electric Vehicle charge point supplied by Zero Carbon World and also the new Dinas Emrys exhibition and its links to Vortigen, Merlin and the Red Dragon of Wales. I was impressed by both! Does your EV charger have a dragon next door?
After lunch i popped over the wall to see progress on the Hafod y Porth 100kw hydro. The pipes are going up the mountain, turbine building foundation dug out and the substation has also been dug out. I am now a bit torn. I want rain for the Hafod y Llan new hydro but two miles away i want it to be bone dry for the Hafod y Porth build…of course we have control of the weather! (bone dry is wining!)
