Another miles stone hurtles past as we complete the next hydro. Last week saw the completion of the small Gorsen Hydro. This week the 640kw £1.5m Hafod y Llan Snowdon hydro comes to life. Three years in the making from the ‘right lets do it‘ to the ‘ok its ready’ bit. But with an expected life of up to 100 years it should pay for itself over and over again.  At just under 2Gwh pa this hydro alone should take a lions size chunk out of our renewable energy generation target for Wales. With the Plas Newydd Marine Source Heat pump on target for completion in the next couple of months and quickly followed by the Hafod y Porth 100kw hydro…we are motoring. Renewables are mainstream in our part of the UK!

How was it for us? Hurricanes, Helicopters, Floods, Snowdrifts…we missed out on pestilence! Intense and fun!. Thanks so much to John, Alan, Dave, Arwyn, Wynn, Jayne, Alison, Rhys, Aron
