How to interest people in biomass boilers? Make a wood-choc-chip cake!

wood chocchip at SheringhamThis is slightly frivalous, but it is National Chocolate Cake day, which NT of course takes very seriously, so the East of England Regional Office decided to celebrate with a bake off. I toyed with the idea of copying my colleague Jane Fletcher’s septic tank cake, but in the end decided on a cake inspired by the new biomass district heating scheme at Sheringham Park, Norfolk. You can read more about the boiler at the East of England blog ; the cake was based on its woodchip hopper below. A little overfilled and I’m not sure about the grading of the chip, but hope you’ll forgive that.
