100kw hydro. The temporary access track has been cut. Site compound is out of sight over the small rise

Yesterday and I was back in Nantgwynant. The valley of our hydros in Snowdonia . The Craflwyn hydro has now started in earnest. (it’s a bit confusing but you could also call it Hafod y Porth or Afon y Cwm Hydro. More on this later as we build) The access track has now been cut and waiting for the geo-textile and sub base cover. The site compound is in place and the trees have been protected with 6ft fencing (to avoid inadvertent damage, root compression…good boundaies make good neighbours as the saying goes) Its has paid real divined at the Hafod y Llan hydro. The contact for the civil engineering work has been let to a local company GH Jones (who did such a good job on the Hafod y Llan hydro) and the detailed design is being taken on by another local company. It’s all go again!
