On the theme of lessons a quick post. Yesterday Garry and I took five seperate contractors up to the Stickle Ghyll proposed intake (and back down). A great lesson from the Snowdon Hydro is to ask contractors how they would do it and what things have we not seen/done. We got 5 variations of how best to build but none said they wouldn’t do it!
This got us thinking in terms of procurement and how best to use contractor expertise and reduce both cost and risk for us whilst ensuring quality. More to come on this. We certainly needed the massive chips they sell in the Sticklebarn pub after burning off a few calories.
