Today’s volunteering event at Tredegar house. Helen Ghosh the Director General of the National Trust was there plus some really important people…the volunteers!

The last few days has been volunteer focused. It has ranged from the hundreds of individuals who helped in the construction of Sticklebarn (see previous blog) through to the Wales volunteer training event today at Tredegar. As a charity we simply could not function. The 70,000 people who give us their time, expertise and enthusiasm makes the Trust what it is. Even us ‘green ninjas’ are supported by a panoply of volunteers. Tom , Maureen, Lucy, Coleg Menai Students, the photographers helping with the hidden hydro project and the list goes on. This has got us thinking of how we can support them a bit more and as the fit for the future work has shown “sharing and learning from others experience is always a wise investment. Watch this space!

A colleague Kirsty has also asked if we could include the following role profile to see if anyone out there fancies ‘having a go’ and working with the team in helping with our energy management. See role profile link below
