With heavy flooding in the valleys. Nearby Llanberis in the news with canoeable high streets Guto the digger driver from GH Jones was around the 800ft contour line getting the path ready on the flanks of Snowdon. Aiming to get over to the weir site by Monday. From there and for the next few months the small 8t digger will make its way down the far side of the river getting the technical rocky bit prepared for the pipe arriving next spring. Slowly slowly being the mantra. A 13t digger will be working up from the power house up the easier slope to a pinch point at the mountain wall. On the news 86mph wind a couple of miles up the road at Capel Cerrig but the farm nestles in the valley. John the project manager jokingly thinks we may need a bigger turbine judging by the vast amounts of water flowing off the mountain
