Cutting the turf. its been a long time coming (well feels like it) Hydro works starts!

Wonderful sight. Digger at the farm starting work on the hydro build. works compound and storage yard being built. ready to accept the 1.2km of pipe and lots of kit. Finally thunderbirds are go! Snowdon lost in the mist behind the digger

26 months of planning, surveying, designing, applying and we are finally off the starting blocks with the big hydro. Local firm GH Jones civil engineers started delivering their big boys hydro building toys today and started digging stuff. The works compound today and getting themselves ensconced at the farm. Next week the digger goes up the mountain preparing the ground for the big push in early spring!
