Ceramic stove in at Llanerchaeron

It’s now in and ready for the colder seasons. The ceramic stove as described in previous blog is in the visitor building in Llanerchaeron. With a multitude of patio heaters seen around pub gardens an tea rooms this is our take on a sustainable patio heater! The tea room / cafe at Llanerchaeron to all intense and purpose is a lean to. In order to extend the use of the building we looked at several forms of heating and this seemed the most sensible in terms of look, energy, carbon, management and the unbuilt bread oven will also add to the atmosphere. The buildings heated area is open to the elements bar the tin roof and glass door and therefore insulation was always going to be problematic. But something which gives off a whole days worth of heat for a couple of hours of fire would always be a winner with the team – quite often with new kit, the end user becomes the victim of somebody else’s good idea. Let’s see… (will let you know what the victims think next spring!)
